Angler's Cottage is set in a perfect location, central to so many places to visit and beautiful walks. The accommodation was superb. The bedroom and bathroom were of the highest standard and the bed linen was exquisite. We couldn't wait to get down for breakfast each morning - Nicky is a wonderful cook and everything was served with extra care and attention. Nicky and Bernard are wonderful hosts and very knowledgeable. We are looking forward to a return visit in the not too distant future.

What a wonderful location! Nestled along the river with a beautiful garden surrounding it. Nicky and B. made us feel very welcome. The room was nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The best part was the superb breakfast Nicky cooked us every morning. What a treat!

Nicky and Bernard are a warm outgoing couple with lots of interests and talents. Their home is in a great location and we enjoyed a walk on the old railway line which is accessed just across the road from their house. Nicky will provide a cooked or a continental breakfast and we had wonderful cheese omelettes. Her exquisite jams are worth a visit alone. The homemade flapjacks provided to suit our gluten-free diet were the best I have ever tasted.

This B&B sets the gold standard. It's in a lovely location overlooking the Wye - a soothing rushing you can hear in the bedrooms which overlook the garden running down to its banks. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished to an immaculate standard with spotless bathrooms ensuite and each morning you look forward to a 'gourmet breakfast ' as it says on the website. It's true. Nicky and Bernard are welcoming hosts with a wealth of local knowledge to guide you on your way. Highly recommended.

Everything we'd hoped for. Nicky and Bernard have created a wonderful home and it's a privilege to be allowed to share it with them. No stone is unturned. Fixtures and fittings and linen of highest quality. Breakfast wonderful. Nestled in a charming valley with walks from the door. You'd be hard pushed to beat it!

Well our first time in the Peak District, and what a treat it was staying at the anglers cottage. We felt at home instantly, Nicky and B are fantastic hosts, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and taking an interest in what we were doing each day. It's in a fantastic location with scenic gardens and lots to do and things to see and do. Having a problem with gluten was no problem at all, Nicky made sure there was lots of gluten free items for breakfast, and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. We cannot recommend anglers cottage enough, we will hopefully be returning to do some more exploring of this beautiful part of the country. Thank you Nicky&B

Angler's Cottage was absolutely lovely! The room was incredibly comfortable and the breakfast was spectacular. Nicky and Bernard were great hosts! They provided amazing restaurant recommendations and helped us plan scenic walks. I highly recommend staying here.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfect. Nicky made sure we had everything we needed. Our room and bathroom were spotless. Breakfast was superb and Nickys little food touches made it all the better. Eating in front of a log burning fire was magical. The location is beautiful!

An enchanting cottage in an idyllic location, perfect for walkers and cyclists, and a short drive away from Buxton. We were warmly welcomed for our stay by Nicky and B. and everything was pristine, with delightful little touches such as homemade cookies, fresh milk and interesting teas. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely come again.

The house is exactly as it is in the pictures - absolutely lovely and the surroundings are every bit as beautiful! The hosts were fantastic, so welcoming and helpful providing us with a delicious breakfast and endless tips about where is best to walk, eat and more. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely go back again, I recommend it to anyone after a quiet weekend away in the gorgeous Peak District. Our weekend was everything we hoped it would be and more

Our hosts B and Nicky were delightful. They couldn't have done more for us. They also had gluten free options available for me which was brilliant. They are in a beautiful setting with a stream running through their garden.

We felt at home immediately upon meeting [Nicky & Bernard]. The rooms and facilities have been done with thought into the finest of details and care. The bed, paintings, the ensuite bathrooms - all were high standards. The private gardens too are pristine and beautiful - just like the location. Nicky had a few surprises lined up for us, after just noticing that we required it and had not even asked for it. Attentive and Adorable!! Yummy breakfast with nice vegetarian sausages :) Would definitely love to stay again, if visiting again to UK.

Location was perfect for us, reasonable travel distance within tourist attractions in the Peak District. Nicky and B were great hosts, very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We had a lovely room and yummy home cooked breakfast.

We received a very warm welcome. The bed was very comfortable with lovely thick white Egyptian cotton sheets. Breakfast was plentiful and included local speciality pancakes. I had preordered a vegetarian breakfast and Nicky had gone out of her way to buy cheese and leek sausages for me. We came back each evening to homemade biscuits in our room which were delicious. Everything in our room and the dining room was immaculate. We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to others.
